Time on screen is not the goal
Most apps measure success in minutes held. We measure it in minutes given back. If a child uses One Hope less over time because they're outside more, we're winning.

About One Hope Foundation
We set out to answer a question nobody could answer for us: what do you actually do for a child who has gone quiet?
Not a child in crisis — those children, at least, get noticed. We meant the ordinary ones. The ones who stopped asking to go outside. Who answer "fine" to everything. Who are on the sofa, on a screen, technically fine, and slowly disappearing.
What we learned
The first version was a mood tracker. It failed, because tracking a feeling is not the same as understanding one. What we have now came from throwing that out and starting from how children actually behave.
They don't say "I feel anxious". They say they're bored, or tired, or nothing at all. So we built something that hands them the words.
Everything else on their phone is built to keep them there. One Hope is built to give them back — it ends the session on purpose.
Most parents already know something is off. What they lack isn't willingness — it's a next step. That's what the parent side is for.
What we believe
Most apps measure success in minutes held. We measure it in minutes given back. If a child uses One Hope less over time because they're outside more, we're winning.
No ads. No infinite scroll. No feed, no strangers, no data sold. There is nothing inside One Hope that profits from a child staying longer.
The families with the least access to emotional support for their children are the ones who can never buy it. Charging everyone the same price would be the easy version of this business, and the wrong one.
How the money works
We are not a charity you donate to and hope for the best. You buy something real, and the price carries a second child with it.
Funded access is delivered through vetted local partners.
Where it goes
We don't parachute in. Access is distributed by schools and community organisations who already know the children by name.
Funded families pay nothing and see no advertising. The app they get is the same one you get — not a stripped-down version.
Supporters get a plain-language account of where the funding went and what it paid for. No glossy numbers we can't stand behind.
Being straight with you
There is a lot of confident nonsense sold to worried parents. We'd rather be useful than impressive, so here is where the line is.
One Hope is a daily habit, not a clinical treatment. If your child is struggling in a way that worries you, please talk to a doctor.
Nothing changes in a week. What changes over months is that a child has language for what they feel, and a habit of putting the phone down.
We'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. The app will keep changing, and everyone who supports us gets every change for free.
Hope today, change tomorrow
Pick the level you're comfortable with. Any level unlocks the whole app — and carries a child who could never pay for it.
